Are you planning a Halloween Party for kids? You are going to need food. Now, what you put out can go from the simple…. just the cupcakes…. to the complex…. let each kid make their own pizza! You decide how much you want to do. The timing of the party may also dictate the menu. If the party is in the middle of the afternoon, you are under no obligation to give anyone a meal. But… if the party runs over lunch… hungry kids get cranky. Uck. Here are some Halloween Party food ideas kids will love, and that won’t break the bank or cause you to spend hours in the kitchen.
You got this.

Halloween Party Food Ideas Kids WIll LOVE!
I’ve broken it down a bit so you can choose between snacks, heartier foods and desserts. Recipes for most are linked.
Snacks-
Keep Things Super SIMPLE
Caramel corn mixed with candy corn
Tortilla chips and guacamole (call it mushed brains…) You can even get Halloween Shaped CHIPS!
Bat Cookies– Bat shaped sugar cookies on a stick
Fruit Salad I usually mix grapes and melon balls for kids… you can pretend it’s eyeballs. Sprinkle with a little sugar, or not.
Heartier Halloween Party Food Ideas for Kids- Mealtime
You can make most of these things ahead, and either warm them up, or serve at room temperature. Remember, nothing is stopping you from ordering cheese pizza, and scattering some pepperoni or veggies on it yourself in a Jack o Lantern shape.
Sausage Mummies– you will need little sausages and a tube of crescent roll dough. Cut the dough into thin strip, a few inches long. Wrap the sausages up, bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Serve with ketchup.
Pizza Faces– Some pizza places make pizza with a Jack-o-Lantern face. You can also let the kids make mini pizzas on boboli crusts, pita bread or english muffins. Supply pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoini slices, and maybe a few veggies… let them have fun creating their own.
Snake Sandwich– Get a long baguette and slice it horizontally. Layer on the fillings you think they will eat… turkey or ham is usually a good bet…I’d hold back on the condiments and serve them separately. Slice into 3 inch lengths… then lay the segments like they are a wavy snake on a serving platter. Stick some olives on for eyes… and maybe a strip of tomato for the tongue.
Fried Worms– Bar b Que worms on a bun! YUM!!
Chicken Drumsticks or Nuggets – Call them Bat wings….
Taquitos- Pretend they are skeletons…
Halloween Macaroni and Cheese or Pasta Salad with Seasonal Pasta
Kids Halloween Party Dessert ideas
Cupcakes are easy ( you can buy them, or decorate them yourself). Make a box cake mix and decorated it simply with Peeps. I once made Vanilla Pudding, and dyed it GREEN! It’s all good.
Graveyard of Cupcakes– Simply dip frosted chocolate cupcakes into crushed Oreo (or other chocolate sandwich cookie) and decorate with chocolate tombstones. Make them yourself, or order them here.
Spider Cupcakes Simply frost cupcakes, and top with a Lindt chocolate ball, a milk dud, and s
ome chocolate legs…
Monster Cupcakes! Googley eyed monsters or Monster Eyes….
Halloween Peep Cakes -Simple Round Cake… from a Box Mix is ok….. Spread frosting over, and top with M&Ms or Reese’s Pieces, then put Halloween Peeps around the edge.
