You can go a couple different ways with the Invitations….
1. Make your own. (This site is a great resource…. Halloween Invitations)
2. Buy pre-printed invites
3. Use E-vite
Totally up to you. I do find that kids LOVE getting something in the mailbox, and having that invitation pinned up on the refrigerator adds to their excitement.
What Goes On the Halloween Party Invitations?
Time, address, your phone number, if it’s a birthday party add your kid’s age (“Maya is turning 7!) Standard invitation information.
Now, if you want the kids to come in costume… please please please… make it clear on the invitation. Just in case… have a few bits and pieces from your dress up box on hand. (Yes, we have had kids show up without costumes… having a witch dress and hat or a crazy wig and inflatable guitar on hand makes it fun for them too).
Also.. If you plan to make this an active party.. let people know. They may want to adjust the costume if there will be a Jumpy House or a lot of Running.
If you want to do face painting… you can ask them to leave the masks behind.
And
If you don’t want epic battles to break out… have the Pirates, Cowboys, Ninjas and Storm Troopers leave their weapons at home, or stow their weapons upon arrival.
