This recipe for Easy Graveyard Cupcakes really couldn’t be simpler to make! I used a box mix that I augmented a bit with chocolate sandwich cookies (oreos), but you can use whatever chocolate cupcake recipe you want… I did make my own frosting… but you can use the stuff in a can.Just dip it in to crushed cookie crumbs to get the dirt look. All up to you.
Also, I tend to make mini-cupcakes for mini people. I HATE waste. I can’t stand giving a kid a cupcake, and they eat just one bite, so you have to pitch the rest in the bin. It’s better to give them a mini, and then give them a second one if they want it.
Now, the decorations I made are just melted chocolate that I piped out in the shape of headstones, trees without leaves and bones. Get those candy melts… super easy to use. I melt them in the microwave, and pipe them out of a zipper bag that has the corner clipped.
If dealing with melting chocolate is just too much of a hassle? Order one of these cute graveyard kids, or Stick on some gummy worms… the kids will love them.
