You just Got BOOED!!!! It’s easy to start a Halloween Phantom Tradition in your neighborhood!

This is how it started at our house.  At 8 o’clock at night two weeks before Halloween, the doorbell rang. I couldn’t see anyone through the peephole, so I carefully opened the door.

On the doorstep…. a bucket of treats and a note…

WHAT!

YOU JUST GOT BOOED!!!

We’d been hit by the Halloween Phantom!

Inside the bucket? Fun and delicious Halloween Treats… there were Halloween Chips, Halloween Candies, Halloween Cookies, Halloween Beads, Halloween Socks and a package of Halloween Microwave Popcorn.

The note was for my daughter… it contained instructions for passing along the Halloween Phantom Tradition to other kids.

My daughter was absolutely delighted! And she’s already working out who she will pass the bucket to.

How to Start A Halloween Phantom in your Neighborhood

You can easily start a Halloween Phantom chain in your neighborhood… just follow the simple steps, and send some happy spirits out into the world!

Fill a bucket or bag… even a simple paper bag with a pumpkin drawn on it will do…. with a few candies or treats. You can go nuts and add trinkets, it’s up to you how elaborate you want to be. (Our Phantom was super generous)

Attach a Note of Explanation To Your Treat Bucket or Bag

Then leave the Treat on the doorstep when no one is looking (Remember, the Phantom is a secret).

Halloween Phantom Note- You just got Booed!!

The note has 2 Parts… Half explains, the other half is to alert people that you have been hit.

Let People Know What’s Going On

If you are leaving a Phantom Treat for just one person… write their name on the top, so that another person doesn’t scoop it up. That being said, if you know there are a few kids in the house,  include enough treats so no one feels left out.

You Just Got BOOED!”

Go ahead and save this image… print it in Black and White or color….

We just put both parts of the note on one 8x 11 piece of paper….

What Goes in the Halloween Phantom Bucket??

Start with a Bucket or Paper Bag

Buckets are fun, because they can be re-used… Paper bags are much cheaper AND your kid can get involved in decorating…

 Fill the Bucket with Treats

You do NOT need to break the bank with this!! It’s not a competition. Remember, kids get excited about the IDEA of getting a treat, as much as the treat itself. A few candies… maybe some stickers. Use your imagination, and have fun with it.
