Looking for an old fashioned Halloween Movie for the WHOLE family? Pick up the Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein DVD. Loaded with physical humor, and just enough scares, this movie is a must-see film every October.

Abbot and Costello (for those of you unfamiliar with the comedy team) were Radio Performers back in the days before TV. They made the switch to movies, and adjusted their word play to include physical humor that was slapstick, silly and fun.

This movie has the Bud Abbott Chick” (the tall thin straight man) and Lou Costello “Wilbur” (the short tubby funny one) playing freight handlers (the original UPS guys) who have to deliver two large boxes to House of Horrors Wax Museum. When the boxes are delivered, it turns out that Dracula’s coffin is in one, and he wakes up in time for Wilbur to see him.

Wilbur spends a lot of time trying to convince Chick that he is seeing all of the Horror Movie Monsters come to life…. no one else notices! What’s fantastic about this film is the lineup of Horror Movie stars that play their own characters. Lon Chaney reprises his role as the Wolfman, and Bela Lugosi makes an appearance as Dracula. Dr. Frankenstein and assistant, do their best to steal Wilbur’s brain to transplant into their Frankenstein Monster.

And in the end…. the Invisible Man makes an appearance.

Lots of funny bits, chase scenes, and of course, Lou Costello’s famous speechless fear!

This is a great movie for everyone in the family. No bad language, no blood or gore, and just enough chills to make it Halloween Worthy.
